The Kansas City Mavericks have announced their opening roster for the 2026–27 season as they prepare to host the Rapid City Rush for a two-game series at Cable Dahmer Arena this weekend.
The season begins Friday, October 16, at 7:05 p.m., followed by a second matchup Saturday, October 17, at 6:05 p.m.
Friday’s home opener will feature Barn Party Night, welcoming fans back for another season of Mavericks hockey. Doors at Gates 1 and 2 will open 1 hour and 20 minutes before puck drop both nights, and parking is free.
Kansas City enters the season following a league-leading 55-12-5 record and 115 points in 2025–26. The Mavericks captured the Brabham Cup as ECHL regular-season champions and the Western Conference championship before advancing to the Kelly Cup Finals.
The opening active roster features 21 players: two goaltenders, seven defensemen, and 12 forwards. Two additional forwards begin the season on reserve, with one forward and one defenseman on injured reserve.
