Los Angeles, CA – April 24, 2026 – Today, pop-rock band The Cab has released their new studio album, Chasing Crowns, marking the Las Vegas-born quintet’s first full-length album in 15 years and third in their catalog. PRESS HERE to listen. The 18-track independent collection – available digitally and on vinyl – includes recent singles “Sweet Kerosene,” “Locked and Loaded” and “Back From The Dead” and new focus track “ih8yourgutz.” PRESS HERE to watch the official visualizer for “ih8yourgutz.” Also included on Chasing Crowns are the four songs released last fall on their Road To Reign: A Prelude EP during the band’s initial comeback after more than a decade apart.

“Chasing Crowns is finally yours,” shares the band. “Its pages and words are torn from our diaries and stories. Blood, sweat, and tears tattooed onto every page. It feels like our little miracle in a way. We couldn’t have made it here without all of you supporting and believing in us. There were times we didn’t think this moment would ever come. Life is turbulent, cruel, and heavy. But it also blooms, sings, and soars. It isn’t without its waves, but with you all as our compass and the wind in our sails, we know we will always find our way home. We hope you enjoy this album as much as we enjoyed making it. It isn’t ours anymore, it is now yours. Our vessel. In the end, beauty isn’t in perfection, it is endurance. This album taught us that.”

Chasing Crowns represents a significant new chapter for The Cab. Written over the past 10 years in various cities around the world, the album captures their evolution (both personally and musically) and time away, while providing snapshots of different moments in the lives of the band’s members. The overarching theme of Chasing Crowns is that all of the things we chase in life (the crown, the jewels, the success) don’t matter in the end; what matters is how you make people feel. That sense of reflection runs throughout the songs, taking inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi – the art of repairing broken pottery with gold where cracks are not hidden but illuminated as part of the story – as reflected on the album’s cover art. Today, those pieces come together again as The Cab, stronger than before. Chasing Crowns also beautifully showcases The Cab’s ability to seamlessly flow between genres while still crafting a cohesive body of work. From the guitar-heavy “Locked and Loaded” and danceable earworm “Back From The Dead” – an anthem of redemption hailed as “a catchy pop-rock banger” – to the smooth and catchy “Sweet Kerosene” – already declared as “the perfect masterpiece” – and the slow and sweet penultimate track “Hellraiser,” written for frontman Alex DeLeon’s daughter, The Cab puts their abilities as songwriters on full display on Chasing Crowns. Track listing for Chasing Crowns below.

The Cab – Alex DeLeon (vocals), Alex Marshall (guitar, keys), Dave Briggs (drums), Joey Thunder (bass) and Chantry Johnson (guitar) – will celebrate the release of Chasing Crowns on their Back From The Dead Tour, the band’s first headlining outing in over a decade, bringing their energetic live show across the U.S. this spring. The 24-date tour, featuring support from Paradise Fears, JADY, and CARR on select dates, will kick off May 22nd in Dallas and make stops at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, House of Blues Chicago, and two nights in New York City at Irving Plaza, among many others, before wrapping June 30th in Boston. The Cab – who has previously toured globally alongside the likes of Maroon 5, Panic! At The Disco, Dashboard Confessional, OneRepublic, and Neon Trees – will also return to Warped Tour this year performing at both Long Beach and Orlando iterations. Known for their anthemic songwriting, arena-ready hooks, and collaborations with some of the biggest names in alternative music, The Cab made their triumphant return in 2025 after more than 10 years away. In addition to high-profile performances at the When We Were Young festival in their Vegas hometown and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a tour supporting All Time Low, and sold-out headlining shows across Southeast Asia, the band released their first taste of new music in October with the four-song EP, Road To Reign: A Prelude. Their decade-long pause now feels less like a breakup and more like an intermission, a quiet prelude to what is still to come. With the release of Chasing Crowns and The Back From The Dead Tour, The Cab is officially back in full force and its five members have never felt better.

About The Cab:

Formed by lead vocalist Alex DeLeon in 2005 while still in high school, The Cab quickly rose to prominence in the late 2000s with their breakout debut album, Whisper War (2008), which featured production from Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy and contributions from Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco and reached #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Album Chart. Whisper War is highlighted by the singles “Bounce,” “I’ll Run” and “One of THOSE Nights.” Named by Alternative Press as a “Band You Need To Know,” The Cab made a bold creative leap in 2011 with their sophomore album, Symphony Soldier, an independently released, self-funded album that elevated their sound to cinematic levels. With songs like “Angel With a Shotgun,” “Endlessly” and “Bad,” the record – which debuted in the Top 100 on the Billboard 200 – showcased The Cab’s ambition and artistic independence, solidifying their place among the most emotionally resonant bands of their era. “Angel With a Shotgun” has since established itself as a fan favorite, amassing over 260 million streams (their most streamed song) and attracting a new generation of listeners with a recent resurgence on short-form platforms, reaching over 400 million views across 300K TikTok creates to date. More than a decade after its release, the song’s continued relevance reinforces The Cab’s reputation in the pop-punk community and beyond. And following the band’s long-awaited return in 2025, The Cab’s catalog continues to grow, amassing more than 700 million streams total worldwide and emphasizing their enduring global reach.
