Eminem and Jelly Roll have dropped the powerful visuals for their genre-blurring collaboration, ‘Somebody Save Me’, which interpolates Jelly’s chart-topping hit, ‘Save Me’.
The newly unveiled official music video captures the angst and self-reproaching feel of the track, with Eminem exploring an alternate reality where he never overcame his addiction to prescription medicine, which almost killed him due to an overdose back in 2007. The legendary rapper has now been sober for 16 years.
As is highlighted in the heartbreaking opening sequence in the video, Eminem imagines a scenario where he is sleeping after taking some drugs, and his daughter comes in to try and rouse him but he dismisses her, telling her to “shut the door.”
Eminem stands watching footage of family-members in a sparse warehouse, accentuating the feeling that Eminem is anxiously letting these false memories play out in his head.
Eminem name-checks his three children, Hailie, Alaina and Stevie, during the song, as well as his brother, Nate, and his two sons, Carter and Liam, with the grainy snapshots that play throughout ‘Somebody Save Me’ intensifying the intimacy of the track.

“Somebody Save Me” is the third single off the album, following “Houdini” and “Tobey”. The video features Eminem helplessly watching home video footage of his children from behind a one way mirror. Jelly Roll makes an appearance to perform the hook, which samples his 2020 single “Save Me.” Eminem berates a version of his younger self, unconscious in bed before he is seen being lowered into the ground.
“I’m honored to be part of this project,” Jelly Roll said in an Instagram post promoting the video.
The video ends with a short clip of Hailie Jade (Em’s daughter) playing the guitar, followed by the message “If you need help, you are not alone”, with a link to Eminem’s partnership with BetterHelp. Following the link leads to a page that says “Hey, Eminem Fans! Here’s a free month of therapy.”
