ST. CHARLES, MO. – On Wednesday, NCAA Division I Independent Hockey announced their men’s ice hockey players of the month. Owen Bartoszkiewicz, a member of the Lindenwood men’s ice hockey program was recognized as the Goalie of the Month, based upon his play in the month of November.
Bartoszkiewicz recorded a 3.05 goals against average and .911 save percentage in eight games, four against teams ranked #1 in the country when the Lions played them. The Michigan native had 42 saves in a 4-1 loss at then #1 Denver and 52 saves in a 4-0 loss at #1 Michigan State. His save percentage in those two games was .922.
You can catch Bartoszkiewicz and the men’s ice hockey program back in action December 13 and 14, as the Lions take on the University of Nebraska Omaha on the road. Both games will be played at 7:07 PM CT.
NCAA Division I Independent Hockey consists of five teams that do not compete in a conference (University of Alaska, University of Alaska Anchorage, Lindenwood University, Long Island University, and Stonehill College).
