My friend Chad Winch, host of The Barn podcast, sat down with the Flint, Texas country music artist William Clark Green (WCG) to discuss the artist’s fifth studio album and same-named tour, The Baker Hotel.

The album – which follows studio albums “Dangerous Man” (2008), “Misunderstood” (2010), “Rose Queen” (2013), “Ringling Road” (2015), and “Hebert Island” (2018), and live albums “Live at Gruene Hall” (2016) and “Live at Cheatham Street Warehouse” (2019) – is the newest project from the Bill Grease Records, LLC artist and was released on March 25th of this year. The Baker Hotel tour will bring the artist to the St. Louis area for shows at the Old Rock House on May 19th – his 36th birthday! – and the St. Francois County Fair Grounds in Farmington on June 24th.

In the podcast above, WCG sits down with Chad for an interview in which they discuss his influences as an artist, what he likes about being on the road, his group “The Panhandlers,” writing the Baker Hotel album, and his two nearby shows on the tour in St. Louis and Farmington. Give the interview a listen and be sure to follow Arch City Media, The Barn, and Austy Talks Music on Twitter for more exclusive interviews, album and concert reviews, and other music content!
