Heavy rock artist Zahna has released her new single “Break or Breakthrough,” the title track from her upcoming album, Break or Breakthrough, set for release September 4 via XOVR Records, the label founded by Brian “Head” Welch of Korn.

Arriving after the sharpened force of “Defiler” and the battle cry of “The Archer,” “Break or Breakthrough” opens a different emotional chamber in Zahna’s new era. Built with cinematic weight, soaring hooks and the kind of vocal command that has become central to her work, the track turns the language of conflict inward, tracing the fragile, volatile path from damage to repair.

“Break or Breakthrough” holds the album’s core tension in its hands. Where Zahna’s recent singles have moved through spiritual warfare, confrontation and the refusal to surrender, the title track finds its power in vulnerability, forgiveness and the hard work of choosing restoration when collapse might have been easier.

It’s about two forces that were once disharmonized and opposed to each other ultimately finding breakthrough in the midst of trauma. Love finds its way back through vulnerability, and grows stronger through humility, grace, forgiveness, reconciliation, ultimately creating a paradise where there was once war.”

The new album finds Zahna stepping into her most fully realised creative chapter to date, expanding the visual world, symbolism and emotional stakes that have become central to her work. Across Break or Breakthrough, she builds with the intensity of someone treating rock music as a vessel for survival, confrontation and release, while leaving space for tenderness, reconciliation and healing.

For Zahna, signing with XOVR Records marks both a milestone and a mission. Having long hoped to work with someone like Brian “Head” Welch, the partnership has given her the space to build an album rooted in trust, detail and purpose. Break or Breakthrough was produced and mixed by Kellen McGregor of Memphis May Fire, with co-writing and associate production from Cory Brunnemann of Through Arteries.

Zahna’s recent momentum has already carried into active rock. Her previous single “Defiler” has been spinning across a growing list of active rock stations across the country including SiriusXM Octane, Music Choice and HardDrive Radio, exploding onto the chart after just a few weeks at the active rock format where it remained for over a month whilst also hitting Top 20 on the SiriusXM Octane chart.

With the album’s title track, “Break or Breakthrough”, now out in the world and the full album arriving September 4, Zahna continues to carve out a chapter built on purpose, survival and resilience. The war is still there, but so is the way through.

ABOUT ZAHNA

Zahna is a heavy rock artist, vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and vocal coach whose music combines hard-hitting rock, metalcore intensity, dark pop atmosphere and deeply personal storytelling.
