Bananas vs. Party Animals Post-Game Recap
Busch Stadium, St. Louis, MO
Final Score: Bananas – 4 Party Animals – 2
Huge news!
We finally ended the longest Banana Ball rain delay EVER!
The Bananas and Party Animals were stoked to finally be allowed to bring Banana Ball to the Lou! And man, was night one in Busch Stadium a Banana Ball game for the ages!
From a dad race and a couple of home runs, to fan-caught foul balls and a mid-inning marriage proposal, our St. Louis debut was everything we could’ve hoped for.
The Party Animals started the night off hot thanks to Bryson Bloomer, who smashed a two-run home run in the top of the first. The offensive heat from the boys in pink was dominant all night, but it was ultimately the Bananas who ran away with a 4-2 win.
That win came from the help of offensive powerhouses like Correlle Prime, who sent his own home run to Big Mac Land, over in Busch Stadium’s left field.
And just when everyone thought this night couldn’t have gotten cooler, the Bananas did the unimaginable.
Adam Wainwright, a Cardinal great, made his Banana Ball debut in the top of the seventh inning, a standing ovation greeting him back out to the mound.
It was so good to see you in yellow, Waino!
