Dreamy indie rock artist Harmless shares the second single, “The Bluff,” from his upcoming album By Them, By You, By Me (out October 17, 2025). The track is a slow-burning indie anthem that simmers with tension, carving out a space that’s both expansive and intimate, anchored by reverb-soaked guitars, restrained percussion, and a vocal performance that radiates quiet urgency. Visionary Nacho Cano explains the inspiration, “I was on a hike with another musician friend. Someone far more successful than I think I will ever be. Despite my jealousy, I still try to lend an ear to them and everything they go through. On this hike, my friend complained about all the things they didn’t have. I was annoyed, frustrated, angry, you name it. Here was somebody who had in many ways a career I want, talk to me about how bad it is. Somewhere in the middle of the conversation, it dawned on me, oh fuck – that’s me for someone else. Upon realization I asked my friend, ‘when’s it gonna be enough?’ ‘Huh?’ ‘Yeah man, when is it enough, when are we done?’ We talked, and I mentioned how sad it is that we have to constantly want more without giving any thought to what we have and love. This is a side of this career that I feel not many see. We play the bluff while we play the show.”
The video for the track was filmed in Cano’s birthplace of Mexico City this past spring and was filmed by award-winning director Alejandra Villalba García.
