PEGGY Unveils “FRIENDS TO LOVERS;” Announces ‘COMING OF AGE’ EP

PEGGY’s storytelling doesn’t stop at the lyrics — she brought the narrative to life through the “FRIENDS TO LOVERS” music video directed by Camryn Eakes. Inspired by the same nostalgic, cinematic energy that shaped the song, she set out to capture that magic visually as well:

“I wrote ‘FRIENDS TO LOVERS’ about that feeling of falling for someone who you’ve known for a while, you see it all the time in rom coms and TV shows, and I wanted to write a song that felt like that! Like you’re in a movie! So obviously I had to make a mini movie to go along with it as well, which is where the ‘FRIENDS TO LOVERS’  music video come to life!”

PEGGY has become known for weaving her love of books, fictional characters, and emotional depth into her music. Her breakout moment came with the viral hit “Fictional Men,” which racked up over 20 million Spotify streams and sparked a devoted fan base. With subsequent releases like “ALICE,” “Villains Aren’t Born (They’re Made),” and “FEMININE RAGE,” PEGGY has continued to carve out a space where pop meets page-turner passion.

Blending small-town warmth with big-city ambition, PEGGY’s work is as much about personal growth as it is about storytelling. A former music therapy student, she turned to TikTok during the pandemic to share her heartfelt compositions, which quickly resonated around the globe.
