ST. LOUIS – Guard Quentin Jones announced he will transfer to Saint Louis University to continue his basketball career. He begins his two years of eligibility in the 2025-26 season.
“While Quentin is a big-time proven scorer at the college level, what I like most about his game is how efficiently he does it and what a great decision-maker he is,”  SLU head coach Josh Schertz said. “He has great size and instincts as a guard and balances scoring and playmaking in a way that amplifies his teammates.”
A Chicago native, the 6-foot-5 Jones comes to SLU after playing last season at Northern Illinois. He played his freshman season at Cal Poly.
In 2024-25, Jones started all 31 games for NIU and led the Huskies in scoring (16.6 ppg), assists (3.5) and steals (1.3). He shot 45.5 percent from the field, 35.5 percent from 3 and 76.6 percent from the stripe.
Jones began his collegiate career at Cal Poly, averaging 9.7 ppg while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range (37-92). His 44 steals that season led the Mustangs.
In his first two collegiate seasons combined, Jones scored 825 points (13.1 ppg) while shooting 41.7 percent from the field, 37.3 percent from 3-point range and 72.5 percent from the line. He scored 20+ points 13 times, including a career-best 28 points in NIU’s win at Akron on Feb. 18, 2025.
Jones prepped at Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Ill.
