Los Angeles Lakers Sign Guard Jordan Goodwin to Two-Way Contract

The Los Angeles Lakers signed guard Jordan Goodwin to a two-way contract. In a related move, the team waived two-way forward Armel Traoré.

Goodwin (6’5″, 220) most recently suited up for the South Bay Lakers. The call-up marks the second of the 2024-25 campaign for South Bay and the 54th overall in franchise history.

Goodwin appeared in 17 Tip-Off Tournament and regular season G League games (nine starts) this season and averaged 13.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals in 24.0 minutes. He scored in double figures in 14 outings, including a season-high 25-points versus Texas Jan. 31. In 49 regular season games (44 starts) across three NBA G League campaigns with South Bay (2024-25) and Capital City (2021-23), Goodwin has averaged 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.8 steals in 30.6 minutes.

The 26-year-old has appeared in 121 career NBA regular season games (19 starts) across three campaigns with Memphis (2023-24), Phoenix (2023-24) and Washington (2021-23), averaging 6.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 17.9 minutes.

Traoré was signed to a two-way contract by the Lakers July 5 and appeared in nine contests, averaging 1.6 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.4 minutes. With South Bay, he appeared in 13 games (10 starts), averaging 14.6 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 27.1 minutes.
