The Frontier League is proud to announce that four of its umpires have been hired by Major League Baseball (MLB), and will begin working affiliated minor league games this spring.

On Thursday, Adam Morken, Parker Powell, Reid Hoover and Patrick McMorris were selected by MLB after completing an Umpire Prospect Development Camp.

Before joining the Frontier League, each of the four gentlemen attended the Umpire Placement Course. They then worked full seasons in the Frontier League and attended MLB Umpire One-Day Camps to earn invitations to the MLB Umpire Prospect Development Camp in Vero Beach, Florida.

Adam Morken, a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, attended the Wendelstedt Umpire School in 2022 before umpiring in the Northwoods League, a collegiate wooden bat league, that same year. He then joined the Pioneer League in 2023 before coming to the Frontier League in 2024. Morken was a member of the 2024 Frontier League Championship Series umpiring crew, including calling balls and strikes for Game Two.

Parker Powell joined the Frontier League in 2024 after umpiring in the Northwoods League in 2023.

Reid Hoover was a part of both the 2023 and 2024 seasons in the Frontier League.

Patrick McMorris joined the Frontier League in 2023 after umpiring in the Northwoods League in 2022. He then spent the 2024 season with the American Association.
