Equal parts youth and potential, 21-year old Country/Folk/Americana singer-songwriter Parker Twomey is a name to remember.  The promising young artist from Dallas, Texas stood out to us at Arch City Music because of his classic flavor and the timelessness that is apparent in all of his music – “Parker Twomey is a dreamer with the passion of youth, empathy of an old soul, and the romananticized eyes of a Texas poet.”

Though his debut album “All This Life” is set to release tomorrow (July 15th), Twomey’s music career has been a lifetime in the making. Born into an artistic family Parker was always surrounded by musical influences, learning guitar from his father and piano from his grandmother. By the age of 10 he joined his first band, alongside his father, and shortly thereafter attended the renowned art school Booker T. Washington High School. Prior to graduation his talent was so undeniable that it caught the eye of Texas-favorite Paul Cauthen who took Parker on tour as his keyboardist and auxiliary guitarist, giving him the opportunity to open for artists such as Midland and Hank Williams Jr. in legendary venues like Red Rocks and the Grand Ole Opry. Though he is far from short on experience, Parker’s music career is seemingly just beginning.

You can listen to Parker talk about his musical upbringing, the beginning of his career, what’s in store, and more with my co-host Chad on the latest episode of the #ArchCityMusic Podcast here:

Parker Twomey is the kind of artist you’ll be happy to look back upon and say “I listened to him before he got big,” so buy stock while you can – starting with his three singles “Counting Down The Days,” “I’d Be Your Man,” and “Til The Morning Comes,” followed by the midnight release of his debut album “All This Life.”  You can see him on tour with Paul Cauthen, who Parker thanks for allowing him to play some of his own songs, and I’m sure it won’t be long before he’s on a tour of his own.
