THE BASICS
— Saint Louis won its third game in a row Wednesday night, defeating the visiting Saint Joseph’s Hawks 2-0 at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

— The Billikens (7-8-1, 4-4 A-10) needed a win to qualify for the A-10 Men’s Soccer Championship, which begins this weekend on campus sites. SLU is the No. 8 seed and will face top-seeded UMass in Amherst, Mass., Sundayafternoon at noon (CT).

— Prior to the game, SLU recognized its five seniors, and two of those seniors connected for the first goal of the game when Patrick Sarr scored off a Duncan Corbett pass.

— The Billikens received an insurance goal in the second half from Saadiq Mohammed.
