Three different Billikens scored as Saint Louis defeated Jeffco 3-0 tonight in an exhibition men’s soccer match at Hermann Stadium.

It was the final preseason test for the Billikens, who open the 2014 regular season next Friday against Tulsa at Hermann Stadium. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Billikens got on the board in the 33rd minute thanks to an unassisted tally by Graydon. He gathered the ball and raced toward the top of the box. From about 25 yards straight on, he lofted a ball that found the left side of the goal for the game’s first score.

That chance came less than a minute after SLU’s Kristo had a penalty kick stopped by the Jeffco keeper. The score remained 1-0 at the half.

Graydon also started the play that saw the Billikens get their second goal. He curled a free kick from distance into the box. Manning got a foot on it before Gieseke knocked it into the open goal for a 2-0 Billiken lead.

Kristo scored his first goal of the preseason in the 65th minute. He headed a long cross from Kohring into the left-side netting to put the Billikens ahead 3-0.

The Billikens outshot Jeffco 16-2 and had a 9-1 advantage on corner kicks.
