The St. Louis Blues keep the preseason rolling Monday night in Dallas, this time with a noticeably heavier NHL look than they showed in Saturday’s opener.
The Blues face the Stars at 7 p.m. at American Airlines Center. Saturday’s game leaned hard on prospects. Monday’s traveling group does not. Robert Thomas, Dylan Holloway, Jimmy Snuggerud, Philip Broberg, Logan Mailloux and Joel Hofer are all making the trip. New forward Mason McTavish, acquired from Anaheim this offseason, will also see his first action in a Blues sweater.
Head coach Jim Montgomery has already said the top power-play unit will get a look. Practice suggests that group will be Thomas, Holloway, Snuggerud, McTavish and Broberg.
This is the second of four preseason games for St. Louis. The regular season opens Oct. 2 — also in Dallas.
