“Like a Millennial Oasis” — SPIN Magazine

“Pairing Beatles-esque harmonies with a rollicking rhythmic core and anthemic sheen” — Under the Radar

“Any vintage aspirations are outmuscled by a pure, stone-cold sonic hypnosis” — Paste Magazine

“Oasis’ soaring Britpop with psychedelic influence… and cheeky radio hits” — FLOOD Magazine

“The perfect album for this summer” — New Noise

“They look DANGEROUS” — Liam Gallagher

San Diego indie rock band Pleasure Pill return with their new EP ALIVE, out April 24 via Quiet Panic, with the lead single “Feel Alive” arriving April 10.

ALIVE leans into both sides of the band—more open in places, more direct in others—without losing the thread that ties it all together.

The EP opens with ambient studio chatter before settling into the strum of “If You Believe in Me,” a straightforward relationship track that puts frontman Jonah Paz’s songwriting front and center.

“Feel Alive” sets the tone early. Built around a steady groove, it carries that familiar Pleasure Pill energy—loose, immediate, and locked in. Paz describes it simply: “It’s a song about being young and having a lust for life—celebrating the good times the day could never bring.”

“Is It Me” lands in the comedown—restless and wired, capturing that over-caffeinated, walking-through-the-city kind of self-reflection. A Brian Jonestown Massacre influence runs through it, something longtime listeners will recognize.

The EP closes with “Stand Still,” a more stripped-back moment. As Paz puts it: “My personal favorite track from this EP. It’s easy to make a song sound large with Marshall amps and Les Pauls—it’s a whole other challenge to make something feel big with just acoustic instruments. Pleasure Pill can do both.”

Formed in 2021 by brothers Jonah and Ethan Paz alongside friends from San Diego’s underground scene, Pleasure Pill have grown from DIY shows into a band drawing wider attention. Releases like “Wonder How” and their live album Heaven Can Wait, recorded during a New York residency, have helped build that momentum.

Despite early interest from major labels, the band chose to remain independent, continuing to develop on their own terms. Drawing from British pop and rock—from the ’60s invasion through ’90s acts like Primal Scream and The Stone Roses—Pleasure Pill have shaped a sound that feels familiar without leaning too heavily on nostalgia.

1. If You Believe in Me

2. Feel Alive

3. Is It Me
