The annual Braggin’ Rights baseball rivalry between the Missouri Tigers and Illinois Fighting Illini shifts to a new neutral site for 2026: CarShield Field in O’Fallon, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m.

This marks the 34th meeting in the series, with Missouri holding a 17-15-1 edge after their 11-9 win in the 2025 matchup at Sauget’s Grizzlies Ballpark. The midweek clash moves across the Mississippi River from its recent Illinois home, making it the first modern-era game on the Missouri side of the St. Louis metro.

CarShield Field, home of the Prospect League’s O’Fallon Hoots, seats about 3,000 and has established itself as a top regional venue for collegiate, high school, and special events in St. Charles County. With synthetic turf and pro-level amenities, it offers hitter-friendly conditions similar to past sites, plus easy I-70 access and ample parking—roughly 35-40 miles west of downtown St. Louis.

The relocation tips the geographic balance toward Mizzou territory, likely boosting Tiger fan turnout while staying reachable for Illini supporters.

Gates open at 5:00 p.m. General admission tickets start at $15 (available until March 16), with premium options like Bird’s Eye Suites, Screech Suites, and 4-top/6-top tables also on sale. Tickets are available here: https://shorturl.at/CZlK2

This venue change adds fresh excitement to one of college baseball’s premier regional rivalries—don’t miss the showdown under Missouri skies!
