Alt-pop artist-to-watch Fischer King has released his new single “Bet” alongside the announcement that his new EP, Rough Odds, will be out Friday, November 15th via Perception Records. PRESS HERE to listen to “Bet.” The moody, alt-pop banger dives into that feeling when you realize a couple’s love is on borrowed time.

“‘Bet’ is about that sinking feeling you get when you realize that the relationship of two people you care for is going to fall apart,” shares Fischer King. “You know the mess is going to bleed into everything around them and things are going to get rough.”

As the follow up to his debut, eponymous EP, Fischer King, which featured the powerful single “Lost” and fan favorite “Falling,” Rough Odds wraps familiar pop mechanics into an inky package that is unmistakably Fischer King and lyrically preoccupied with self-deception, addiction, and a search for purpose. Full track list below.

Making a name for himself with his pitch-black “existential crisis pop” that has received early praise from tastemakers, Fischer King writes, records, produces, and mixes all his own music; skills developed during his time working behind the scenes with some of the world’s most exciting artists, producers, and directors. Drawing from his influences which range from James Blake and Nine Inch Nails to Claude Debussy and Herbie Hancock, as well as his early love for tense, bombastic classical music and time in the Detroit punk rock and hip-hop scenes, Fischer King’s new music is further developing his ever-expanding cinematic, angular musical universe.
