Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria (KPPO), an award-winning Italian restaurant and bar owned and operated by co-owners Katie and Ted Collier, opened the doors to its newest location in Ballpark Village. The third – and largest – Katie’s Pizza & Pasta restaurant is located at 751 Clark Street, in the heart of Ballpark Village and steps from Busch Stadium across from Gate 4. The restaurant’s opening is the culmination of an 11-month complete buildout of the new space and a week of soft-opening activities at the restaurant.

KPPO at Ballpark Village serves brunch, lunch and dinner seven days a week. The menu includes the restaurant’s traditional antipasti, burrata, salads and hand-crafted pizza and pasta, along with new dishes offered exclusively at the Clark Street location.

“Opening our newest restaurant across the street from Busch Stadium in Ballpark Village is the realization of a lifelong dream and the culmination of a year of hard work and effort,” said Katie Collier, co-owner of KPPO. “The sheer space of this restaurant, at 10,000 square feet, gives us so many new options and opportunities to serve our customers, including private-event space for meetings, events and rehearsal dinners. We’re excited to be a part of the fabric of Ballpark Village and downtown St. Louis on Cardinal game days and every day of the year.”

The new restaurant features private event space for 60 guests, an outdoor patio, a prominent pasta-making station, and a carry-out market selling specialty items and ready-to-eat dishes. The restaurant’s expanded menu that includes family-favorite recipes and several new dishes – including approachable Italian steak and seafood dishes – prepared on the restaurant’s new wood-fired grill.

“I couldn’t be more excited about the opening of Katie’s Pizza & Pasta in Ballpark Village,” said Bill DeWitt III, president of the St. Louis Cardinals. “It’s been one of my favorite restaurants in town for years, and now we have their flagship location right next to Busch Stadium. This is a huge win for Cardinals fans and a big shot in the arm for downtown St. Louis.”

Similar to the other Katie’s Pizza & Pasta locations, the new restaurant’s design aesthetic is bright and contemporary yet accessible – consistent with Katie’s Pizza & Pasta’s Rock Hill and Town & Country locations. The new restaurant prominently features artwork from Ted Collier, as well as Katie’s mother, Belinda Lee. Both are celebrated painters with pieces in various prominent collections in St. Louis and beyond. A private corner booth also features artwork by Bill Dewitt III. In addition to the artwork, the new space features and eclectic mix of salvaged architectural elements collected by Katie’s late father, Tom Lee. The unique architectural artifacts from around the city of St. Louis add to the restaurant’s eclectic vibe.

“The addition of each new member to the Ballpark Village family helps us fulfill our goal to create a true neighborhood destination that reflects the personality and tastes of St. Louis. Katie’s Pizza & Pasta is certainly no exception,” said Mike LaMartina, Chief Operating Officer of Ballpark Village. “The addition of a St. Louis favorite like Katie’s at Ballpark Village makes our community that much stronger and further establishes us as the ideal destination in St. Louis to live, work, and play any day of the year.”

KPPO’s new location at Ballpark Village will continue the concept’s successful Giveback Tuesday charitable events. Every month, the restaurants feature a local nonprofit organization and donate 100% of profits from the entire day to the charity. To date, Giveback Tuesdays have raised nearly $400,000 for local nonprofit organizations.
