The Saint Louis University Department of Athletics has designated Sunday, Sept. 11, as “Salute to Service Day” at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. The Billiken women’s soccer team hosts local rival SIUE for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

All active duty and veteran military personnel will receive free admission to the game. SPC Shannon Streif from the Missouri National Guard 135th Army Band in Springfield will sing the national anthem, and members of SLU’s Air Force ROTC will present the colors.

The athletics department will present Billiken soccer scarves to three students from SLU’s Student Veterans Association. Also, a contest will be held to give away St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues military-themed jerseys.

The Billikens take a 4-1 record into Thursday night’s game at Evansville.
