Saint Louis guard Rashad Williams has received a waiver granting him immediate eligibility, the NCAA announced today.
Williams initially did not meet this year’s one-time transfer exception since he transferred after his freshman year as well. The NCAA waiver allows Williams to play immediately as opposed to sitting out the 2021-22 season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
A Detroit, Michigan, native, Williams has appeared in 74 games in his career, which includes one season at Cleveland State and two at Oakland. He has drilled 246 career 3-pointers, including 94 last season, which ranked fifth in the NCAA. Williams has 1,009 points in his career, averaging 13.6 ppg.
