Electric Light Orchestra, otherwise known as ELO, has a tribute band now and they’re straight out of our beautiful Arch City.
Mr. Blue Sky: “A Tribute to the Electric Light Orchestra will be at Delmar Hall tonight and a few tickets remain for the show. Grab your tickets soon as they quickly sold out their inaugural show in the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill back in May.
Tonight you’ll be fired up by all of the hits that you know so well, some that will drum up memories, as well as some deep cuts for the die hards.
The band is stacked and as I like to coin a “supergroup”. Jeff Faulkner is the brainchild behind the band’s inception and the man in the lead representing ELO’s Jeff Lynne. You’ve seen him in groups such as late 90s and Point Essential group, Soul Kiss and currently, you can catch him all over the damn place on almost any night of the week with the best party band in St. Louis, Vote For Pedro.
The members of MBS bring quite a curriculum vitae to the band. You’ve seen them in El Monstero, Celebration Day, and Trixie Delight. Included in the line up is Dave Watkins (guitar), Ben Moyer (bass), Kyle Work (keys), Jake Brookman (cello), Jessie Youngblood (violin), Annastasia Hamilton (vox), and Steve Bunck (drums).
Additionally, St. Louis’ real rockers will enjoy special appearances by our beloved ax man, Jimmy Griffin, as he joins the band. Alongside Jimmy is another home grown prize and triple threat who has toured the world in support of her prodigious, Abigail Stahlschmidt. Her credits include Singer, Songwriter, Violinist, Performer & Professional model.
The show is presented by KSHE-95 and will be hosted by St. Louis Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Smash and Katy Kruze.
Tickets are $20 general admission (all ages, $2 minor surcharge) and can be purchased at Suite 100 at the Pageant or Ticketmaster.com.
Doors at 7 / Show at 8.
See you fuckin’ there.
