Saturday night brought the R&B Soul and spunk to the city of St. Louis thanks to The Bonfyre, Tank, Robin Thicke, and Fantasia.

The Bonfyre started off The Sketchbook Tour and boy did she LIGHT IT UP! The heart and soul she puts in her music doesn’t go unnoticed. She showed us why her single U SAY has been music choices #1 national R&B soul song.

Tank was up next, The crowd waited for that music to flow and get everyone singing along but turns out everyone got a different type of show from him. It seemed more of a Chippendales night out in Vegas. He brought more of the sex appeal then actual music talent. His pizazz was a bit much. Hopefully he dials that down a bit and actually put his musical talents up front and center next time we see him in The Lou.

Now for Robin Thicke, WHOA! He’s beyond amazing with his vocals and stage presence. He’s not the young Robin Thicke that made blurred lines so controversial. (Yes he sang it that night, and yes it was sung by every person in that arena like it had just came out yesterday on the airwaves. )He’s Robin Thicke that channeled his inner James Brown up on that stage. His heart, soul, passion and love for this art shined through. We also got to see the side of him we see on his hit show “The Masked Singer”.

Ray Charles, James Brown, Aretha Franklin would all be proud. His smooth, rich, upbeat spirit uplifted the crowd and brought them to their feet. Not one seat was left unattended in this arena. His involvement with the crowd and slick moves moved us all. It had everyone asking themselves “ Why isn’t he the headliner”. Robin Thicke St. Louis loves everything about your show! You left us wanting more. Piano dances included.

Now for the main act. Fantasia. She’s nothing like her American Idol days. She’s everything you thought she was. This woman showed St. Louis why she’s a Grammy Winning Singer!

She brought the ENERGY, the CLASS, and the motivation to Chaifetz Arena. This tour is definitely spotlighting her new album. It bursted with soul, rock, and gospel, which wowed the crowd and showed us she’s raw. She showed us her true emotions during this set and by gosh, lord have mercy did she show she’s a force to be reckoned with even when the crowd didn’t know much of her songs. This is a show full of R&B Soul.

Mission accomplished for this Tour.
