RECAP
Saint Louis senior Anthony Brown scored with 16 seconds in regulation to send the game into overtime, and the Billikens ended up tying No. 17 Notre Dame 1-1 Friday in the season opener for both teams.

With time winding down and the host Irish clinging to a 1-0 lead, freshman Chase Niece sent a restart from beyond midfield into the box. Brown ran to it and flicked it past the Notre Dame keeper to tie the score at 1-1.

Notre Dame opened the scoring in the 63rd minute on a goal by Patrick Berneski.

Saint Louis out-shot the Irish 12-6, while Notre Dame managed a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

The Billikens (0-0-1) return to Hermann Stadium to face the Memphis Tigers on Sunday. Game time is 5 p.m.
