Although many listeners are discovering Charlie Bereal as a recording artist, his career has long been woven into some of the most recognizable records in R&B and hip-hop. Raised in Pasadena, California, Bereal began playing guitar in church before joining GRAMMY Award-winning gospel artist Donnie McClurkin‘s touring band while still in high school. By eighteen, he had already established himself as both a touring musician and producer. |

Over the next two decades, Bereal contributed as a guitarist, songwriter and producer alongside artists including JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, Kanye West, Raphael Saadiq, Brandy, Toni Braxton, Ashanti, Mario, Tweet, Ja Rule, Nelly and Busta Rhymes.
