ABOUT PROMPTS

PROMPTS is a Tokyo-based hybrid metalcore band formed in 2012, featuring members from Japan and South Korea — vocalist PK, guitarist Ryuki Matsuno, bassist/vocalist PIGURI, drummer Heaven, and guitarist YASUI. Drawing from the contrasting roots of their multinational lineup, the band has built a distinctive style that blends chaotic, heavy, progressive metalcore with an emotionally charged intensity and a ferocious live presence. Since signing to Australia’s Greyscale Records in 2024, PROMPTS has expanded rapidly beyond Japan, completing two Australian tours and performing across South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines. Their collaborative single “Stranger” (feat. Landon Tewers of The Plot In You) brought the band international attention in early 2025, and their subsequent signing to US label PAPERCUT RECORDINGS in April 2026 marks their boldest step yet into the global market. ‘Parasite Dream’ is their most ambitious release to date.
