The award-winning counterculture festival and block party Buds-A-Palooza is back for its fourth year, lighting up downtown Phoenix on Friday, April 11, from 2–10 p.m. Presented by Trulieve and founded by the team at Bud’s Glass Joint, the event takes over eight square blocks near 5th Street and Garfield in Roosevelt Row. Named “Best 4/20 Celebration in Arizona” by Weedmaps and Leafly and “Best Festival” two years in a row by the Phoenix New Times, the Buds-A-Palooza festival and block party offers a one-of-a-kind mix of music, art, food, and local vendors. Sponsors include Trulieve, Sublime, Wana, Bud’s Glass Joint, and non-profit partner Evans Churchill Community Association.
This year’s festival delivers a stellar lineup of national reggae acts including Tropidelic, Mike Love & the Full Circle and Surfer Girl. Admission includes music, stand-up comedy at the Laughing Gas comedy stage, classic stoner films, glassblowing demos, mural art, and entrance to the Munchie Mall sponsored by Sublime where guests can purchase top local eats, desserts and munchies.

● Munchie Mall: A curated lineup of food vendors serving festival-goers.

The founder of Happy Hippie Creative, Courtney Bell, was born and raised in Western Kentucky, where she developed an early interest in art and photography. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Arts Administration and moved to the Cincinnati area in 2019. She has worked with various clients and organizations, such as local businesses, nonprofits, and festivals, to showcase their stories and products through her images.
Courtney Bell is not only a photographer, but also an avid art, music and live performance lover.
