ST. LOUIS – Guard Luke Laczkowski (Dallas, Texas) has signed an athletics scholarship agreement to attend Saint Louis University and play basketball for the Billikens, head coach Josh Schertz announced today. Laczkowski will begin his four years of eligibility in the 2025-26 season.
“The obvious things that stand out about Luke are his elite shooting ability and plus positional size as a 6-8 guard,” Schertz said. “But what most stands out to me is his ability to process the game. Luke’s instincts on both ends of the floor will allow him to have a high level of defensive versatility. Just as important is how good of a teammate he is. Luke is the kind of young man you want in the program at all costs because he elevates everyone around him.”
Laczkowski is a senior at St. Mark’s School of Texas. Last season, he averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.6 steals for the Lions. Laczkowski has already scored more than 1,500 points in his prep career at St. Mark’s. He is a two-time All-State selection, two-time All-Conference pick and twice has been tabbed team MVP. The Lions are a two-time Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) North champion.
Laczkowski played with Texas Impact 4:13 on the Under Armour circuit, helping his team finish the year ranked No. 10 in the nation.
Both of Laczkowski parents were student-athletes at Washington University in St. Louis. His father, Tim, played basketball. His mother, Amy, played volleyball for the Bears and is one of the most decorated athletes in school history.
