The Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) announced their postseason awards. The Lindenwood women’s soccer program accumulated nine postseason awards, based upon their performances in the 2024 campaign.
Head Coach Dave Musso was recognized as the OVC’s Coach of the Year. At the helm, Musso brought the Lions to their best placed finish (3rd) since joining the OVC in 2022, after making the jump to NCAA Division I. During the regular season the Lions went 8-5-4, and 4-1-4 in conference play.
Mackenzie Compton was tabbed as the OVC Freshman of the Year, and was named to the All-OVC First Team, and OVC All-Newcomer Team. Compton led Lindenwood in scoring in the regular season with 15 points (5g-5a). The Missouri Native, was also fifth in the OVC in points in conference play with 10 and tied for second in the OVC in conference play for assists with four.
Eyglo Thorsteinsdottir was recognized as a First Team All-OVC Member. Thorsteinsdottir was a staple in the Lions defensive half, giving up only four goals in nine games in OVC play. The Iceland native, played in all 810 minutes of OVC play, and registered an assist.
Caroline Ritter was tabbed to All-OVC Second Team and All-Newcomer Team. Ritter was tied for the second highest shutout total (4) and second-best goals against average (0.57) in the OVC in conference play.
Tasneem Dizdarevic was named to the All-OVC Second Team and All-Newcomer Team. Dizdarevic registered four points in the regular season coming from one goal and two assists.
