St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has signed forward Jake Neighbours to a two-year contract extension worth an annual average value (AAV) of $3.75 million.
Neighbours, 22, was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round (No. 26 overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.
A former captain and Western Hockey League (WHL) champion with the Edmonton Oil Kings, Neighbours has totaled 53 points (36 goals, 17 assists) and 51 penalty minutes in 135 regular-season games through his first four seasons with the Blues.
During his rookie campaign in 2022-23, Neighbours collected 10 points (six goals, four assists) in 43 regular-season games before representing Canada and capturing a gold medal at the 2023 World Championships.
Last season, he shared second on the team with a career-high 27 goals while he also shared the lead in power-play goals (8), shared third in game-winning goals (4), and ranked fourth in hits (138). Thus far in 2024-25, the Calgary, Alberta, native has tallied three points (two goals, one assist) and four penalty minutes in six appearances.
