“Joe Samba’s latest release Lifeline is a heartfelt magical adventure.” – Grateful Web

“Joe Samba – hope’s hype man – returns with Lifeline, a vibrant and undeniably joyous LP that weaves together eclectic sounds of reggae, rock, ska and pop. It’s nostalgic while still contemporary, and is just the kind of mood-lifter we need during this dark and uncertain time…If you’re looking to lift your spirits, this is the ‘Lifeline’ for you.” – Americana Highways

“‘Meant To Be’ showcases Samba’s wide vocal range as the [genre-defying] artist dips into rapid-fire hip-hop as quickly as he slides into more melodic flows. The single showcases unique chemistry and sets Samba’s refreshing perspective to soothing yet electrifying drum patterns.”

– Glide Magazine

“A purveyor of positive vibes, joyfully merging his optimistic energy with unifying messages delivered via catchy choruses and infectious grooves. His eclectic brand of upbeat reggae rocks with an undeniable soul/funk infused pop-appeal, while leveling his dynamic vocal range and guitar chops against an honest and, at times, raw lyricism.” – Live For Live Music

“If you’re someone into positive vibes, tunes with reggae-rock elements, and songs that can keep you company during a long drive under the warm watch of the midday sun, then Joe Samba and his music are for you. There’s just something about his songs that warms us up in the winter and keeps us smiling in the summer.” – The Honey Pop

“Joe Samba [is] a rising star on the scene…Samba’s music is an intriguing cocktail of genres. It’s as if he’s concocted a musical brew that combines the laid-back groove of reggae, the upbeat rhythms of ska, and the raw energy of punk rock.” – Folk N Rock

“Joe Samba is turning heads all over the world.” – Top Shelf Music Magazine

“[Joe Samba] is such a fan favorite; he invites us into his world with songs, and while we’re there, we might just figure out something about ourselves as well. Only true artists can achieve this.” – The Pier

“[Samba] skillfully tells stories blending reggae, rock, ska and pop, with thoughtful lyrics, and songwriting…[He’s] one of the best visual songwriters in reggae today.” – Daily Reggae

Rising reggae rock singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist Joe Samba has released his third full-length studio album, Lifeline, via LAW Records. PRESS HERE to download/stream. The 10-track collection includes the previously released singles “Little Love,” “Meant To Be” with Wax, “Home” with Mihali, and “Communicate” and perfectly reflects Samba’s eclectic style with everything from reggae and punk rock to hip-hop and salsa, all filled with unforgettable melodies, catchy hooks, and honest lyrics about life. Lifeline will also be available on vinyl, shipping in October – PRESS HERE to pre-order.

“Lifeline is an album created to inspire,” shares Samba. “It embraces major shifts in life and encourages the listener to find their own lifeline. Throughout life, things can get complicated and heavy. But with the right people around you, feeding your soul with positivity and love, it gives you the strength to accomplish great things. It gives you that willingness to fight on. They are your Lifeline.”

Samba introduced Lifeline, the follow-up to his acclaimed 2022 sophomore album Far From Forever, with the summer anthem “Little Love.” Then came “Meant To Be” with rapper Wax, a salsa-infused, hip-hop leaning track about being on the road and having second thoughts about what you’re doing, and the islandy “Home” featuring Mihali (lead singer/guitarist for Twiddle). Joe recently issued one final tease with “Communicate,” a song that epitomizes relationships with your friends as you grow older. The album’s robust title track “Lifeline” is a story of growth, discovery, and defeat and serves as a dedication to Joe’s wife and son. For Lifeline, Samba worked with outside producers for the first time, recording four tunes with Eric Krasno of Soulive (including “Meant To Be” and “Home”) and three with Anthony Resta (Duran Duran, Collective Soul), who co-produced “Little Love” and “Communicate.” The final tracks on the album were self-produced by Joe in Maine at the Halo Studio with engineer Kevin Billingslea. See below for full track listing.

The Massachusetts-born and now New Hampshire-based multi-talent and his bandmates will celebrate the release of Lifeline on a short run of tour dates in October supporting Little Stranger throughout the Northeast including a stop at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on October 10th .See below for full list of upcoming tour dates and visit www.joesamba.com for more information and to purchase tickets.

Following a childhood immersed in music, Joe Samba paid his dues by endlessly gigging around the Northeast. His 2019 independent debut album, The Wrong Impression, topped the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, debuting at #1 and gathering millions of streams. He leveled up on his sophomore album Far From Forever (LAW Records), with the singles “Create Something,” “Boomer Economy” and “Beef” also amassing millions of streams. Along the way, Samba has toured or played alongside everyone from The Dirty Heads, Ziggy Marley and Pepper to Shwayze and Sublime With Rome, performed at such festivals as Summer Camp Music Festival, Cali Vibes, Reggae Rise Up, and Cali Roots Festival, and earned media acclaim for his energetic live show, with The Pier praising, “There’s something unique about Joe.”

Joe Samba has a song for every season. You could drift off into the smoky summer groove of his reggae-infused bangers or jump into spring fueled by the punk rock gallop of his guitar-driven anthems. He’s got the kind of melodies that could warm you back to life in the winter and the chantable hooks you want to celebrate with on a year-end victory lap in the fall. He threads everything together with unfiltered emotion and honest lyrics about life as a father, husband, son, friend, and artist. All of these vibes and more are on full display on Lifeline, which tells the story of various life changes including becoming a dad, moving, touring life and being away from family, friendships, and more.
