Inimitable, chart-topping, progressive post-hardcore geniuses, Dance Gavin Dance have kicked off a new era today with the release of not one, but two new singles – “Straight From The Heart” (stream HERE) and “Speed Demon” (stream HERE). Both singles run back-to-back to soundtrack the epic music video accompanying the release, which can be viewed HERE or by clicking the video below.

Speaking on the dawning of this new era of Dance Gavin Dance, vocalist/guitarist Andrew Wells shares:

“Dance Gavin Dance has seen the highest peaks and the lowest valleys and has persevered to deliver enigmatic and un-replicable music for nearly 19 years. The core of the band has always been at the head, with Will, Matt, and Jon making the art that they want to make, without exception. This new era of DGD provides an opportunity to break fresh ground in experimentation and collaboration while keeping the band’s spirit thriving better than ever. Our latest singles, “Straight From The Heart” and “Speed Demon,” encapsulate the full-throttle, no-holds-barred attitude the band’s current lineup embodies. “

About Dance Gavin Dance

Rejecting tired formulas at every step, Dance Gavin Dance merge progressive rock and post-hardcore with thick groove, brilliantly combining experimental music with hooks and a warped sense of humor. The group has amassed over 1.6 billion global streams, and 1.7 million album equivalent units sold across their catalog in the US alone. With hundreds of thousands of rabid fans engaged with Dance Gavin Dance on socials and their very own festival event, Swanfest, which sold out both its inaugural edition in 2019, its triumphant, post-pandemic return in 2022 in the band’s hometown of Sacramento and it’s first ever East Coast iteration last year, it all amounts to a full force band facing a mainstream that has overlooked them for way too long.

In August of 2022, the band released their 10th studio album, Jackpot Juicer, to enormous critical acclaim and their highest chart positions to date. Selling a staggering 33,500 copies in it’s first week alone, Jackpot Juicer topped multiple charts and landed in the upper echelons of the Billboard Top 200 once again with the band’s biggest ever week 1 sales. The album saw the band hit their first ever Top Ten debut, entering the Top 200 at #8, whilst also hitting the #1 spot across the Top Alternative and Top Rock charts, #2 on the Top Vinyl chart, #3 on Top Album Chart and #5 on Top Album Sales Chart. The success of Jackpot Juicer has seen the band sell-out numerous headline shows across North America, play multiple world-renowned festivals and despite unfathomable challenges, somehow continue to not only persevere, but grow from strength to strength.

As the undeniable statistics keep mounting up, the fact becomes more and more clear that Dance Gavin Dance are one of this generation’s most popular and enduring forces from the world of heavy music. As Pollstar put it “Sacramento, Calif.-based Dance Gavin Dance is not just any band.”
