Saint Louis guard Gibson Jimerson earned All-Conference third team honors and was voted to the league’s All-Academic team, the Atlantic 10 Conference announced today prior to tipoff of the A-10 Championship at Barclays Center.
It is the third time Jimerson has been named to an All-Conference team, joining Kevin Lisch and Kwamain Mitchell as the only other Billikens to earn A-10 All-Conference honors three different times.
Jimerson, who graduated last fall with a degree in International Business, was named to the Academic All-Conference team for the fourth straight season. He is a candidate for Academic All-American, which will be released later this year.
Jimerson has started every game and averages 15.3 ppg. His 75 3-pointers rank fifth in the A-10. He is climbing up the SLU career lists as well. Jimerson owns the school record in career 3-point field goals, and he is the fifth-leading scorer at SLU for a career.
The Billikens are the No. 14 seed in the A-10 Championship and face 11th-seeded Rhode Island Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. (CT) in the first round.
