The public is invited to the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Saint Louis University’s O’Loughlin Family Champions Center on Monday, Oct. 9, at 4 p.m.
The ceremony and ribbon cutting will be held outdoors adjacent to the O’Loughlin Family Champions Center. Attendees will then have the opportunity to tour the new facility. Free parking for the public will be available in the parking garage at Olive and Compton Avenues.
Construction of the 25,000-square-foot O’Loughlin Family Champions Center began in May 2022 and is nearing completion. The privately funded, best-in-class facility will impact all 400+ Billiken student-athletes, delivering programming related to academic advising, spiritual development, sports performance, nutrition, wellness, and sports psychology. WHEN: Monday, October 9, 2023, 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- 4 p.m. (all times approximate) – Short program featuring speeches by Director of Athletics Chris May, University President Dr. Fred Pestello, and Bob O’Loughlin. A mult box will be provided for audio.
- 4:20 p.m – Ribbon cutting featuring SLU and community dignitaries.
- 4:30 p.m. – O’Loughlin Family Champions Center open for tours/video opportunities.
