Indie pop sensation James Hersey is thrilled to release his new single “Can’t Say No” that is out now along with the music video that can be viewed at . This is the fifth single from his upcoming album Let It  Shine to be released on September 15th. James says, ” I wrote this song the day a friend called me at 6am crying on her way to work.  She’d finally reached a fork in the road – it was either her mental health or the  relationship that would survive, not both.” Since last year James has been releasing the singles “Cut Me Out” , “Right Where I Am”“Fake Love” and “Ghost Me” that will all be featured on Let it Shine as well. The album, produced by Jochen Naaf, features a puristic approach to recording with live instrumentation and a neo-vintage sound handcrafted in the studio with his friends Antonio Fortino and Daniel Schreiber on bass and drums. About James Hersey James Hersey started releasing DIY bedroom pop in his late teens, quickly establishing a name in Vienna’s indie scene. In 2015 a rooftop performance of his song “Coming Over” became a viral hit, remixed by EDM heavyweights filous, Kygo, and Dillon Francis. In 2017 his worldwide debut “Miss You” brought James his second and third Gold certifications, and filled up his touring schedule. His most recent release features legendary Canadian funk-duo Chromeo on the single “Closer”. James’ upcoming album takes a sonic step towards his live shows with a focus on indie-rock instrumentation and musicianship. Known for his poignant skills as a writer, his lyrics share poetic insights into life as an artist, revealing tales of hope, heartbreak, and loss. Notable performances include Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Reeperbahn, and Frequency, as well as support tours with Milky Chance, Honne, Metric, and Jeremy Loops.
