Saint Louis point guard Yuri Collins was named to the Associated Press honorable mention All-America team. Players appearing on the honorable mention team appeared on multiple ballots in AP All-America voting.
Collins is the 15th Billiken honored on an AP All-America team in school history and the first since Jordair Jett in 2014.
A finalist for the Bob Cousy Award as the nation’s top point guard, Collins is the NCAA leader in total assists (324) and assists average (10.1 per game). When adding in his 11.2 ppg (second on team), Collins is the only player in the NCAA averaging a points/assists double-double. He is just fifth player in NCAA history to finish a season averaging double-digits in both points and assists.
Collins already holds every assists record in school history – career (878, which is also 22nd in NCAA history), single-season (324 in 2022-23) and single-game (20 vs. Tennessee State earlier this year). Additionally, he is the active career assists leader in the NCAA across all three levels. Collins is also the all-time A-10 assists leader for a single season and a career.
