Rolling into 2023 with a bang, Future serves up the cinematic, stylish, and stunning music video for “BACK TO THE BASICS” today. Watch it HERE. It notably marks the ninth visual from his chart-crushing platinum-certified GRAMMY® Award-nominated masterpiece, I NEVER LIKED YOU, available now via Freebandz/Epic Records.

On the LP, “BACK TO THE BASICS” closes out I NEVER LIKED YOU in fittingly raw fashion—so Future seamlessly projected this vibe onscreen. Once again, it finds him firing on all cylinders and emanating endless charisma and confidence, asserting his superstar status like only he can and never losing a grip on his fire. The directed by SKEEBOE video matches the energy of the album closer and hints at the dawn of the next chapter. At the same time, it shows no signs of stopping or slowing down either.

I NEVER LIKED YOU has become a blockbuster of the highest-order. It topped off last year as the #1 bestselling rap album of 2022 in the US by total units.” Last month, he concluded the biggest year of his career by earning a slew of RIAA certifications. His chart-dominating magnum opus, I NEVER LIKED YOU, ascended to platinum status, making it one of only four albums to reach platinum in 2022. The Billboard Hot 100 smash “WAIT FOR U” [ft Drake & Tems] reached triple-platinum and earned the RIAA’s Top Certified Single of 2022. The single “PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ” also went platinum.

Speaking to his dominance, Billboard christened him its “Hip-Hop Power Player of the Year,” enshrining him as “one of the most successful, and prolific, rappers in history. Variety hailed him as “Collaborator of the Year” and attested, “The list of artists who benefited from Future’s Midas touch reads like a veritable who’s who of hip-hop.” Rolling Stone plugged I NEVER LIKED YOU on its “The 100 Best Albums of 2022, going on to proclaim, “it’s safe to say Future showcased his range. Complex named it one of “The Best Albums of 2022, and declared, Future is at his best on I NEVER LIKED YOU.

Future capped off this banner 2022 by picking up six nominations at the 2023 GRAMMY® Awards. The Atlanta icon has notched multiple nods in coveted categories. He landed two nominations for “Best Rap Song” with both “WAIT FOR U “[ft.
