After postponing their tour last year due to COVID, Blue October is back in town tomorrow night at The Pageant for their “This Is What I Live For 2021 Tour”. You can grab resale tickets at Ticketmaster.com and worry not, resale prices aren’t that bad.
It’s been almost two years since the band has been to St. Louis, but aside from tomorrow night’s show, they’ll be back next summer (July 29, 2022) with Goo Goo Dolls at St. Louis Music Park.
If tomorrow night is your first time seeing Blue October, prepare to walk out of there feeling super pumped on a spiritual level. The energy and raw emotion exuded by lead singer, Justin Furstenfeld, is soul-filling and inspirational, as the vast majority of his writing is based on his own life experiences including drug addiction, awakening, and recovery. Regardless if you’re a recovering addict, everyone relates to the music on some level due to hardship or trauma they’ve navigated or are currently navigating in their own lives. As a music writer for all things music industry, I’m not at all a fan of comparing bands based on similar sounds and whatnot, but I will honestly say that there is no other band out there with the same purpose, drive, vision, and mission. Buy the ticket.
