Cardinals Trade 1B Nogowski To Pittsburgh; Claim RHP Justin Miller From Nationals

The Cardinals traded John Nogowski to the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations. He appeared in 19 games for St. Louis this season batting .056 in 18 at-bats.

The Cardinals also claimed RHP Justin Miller of waivers from the Washington Nationals.  He will activated for tonight’s game against the Rockies.

The Cardinals also optioned RHP Roel Ramírez to Triple-A Memphis, and Jack Flaherty was transferred to the 60-day IL.
