Saint Louis dropped a 76-53 decision to Dayton Friday night in Atlantic 10 Conference men’s basketball action at UD Arena.
The Billikens move to 11-4 overall and 4-3 in A-10 play. Dayton is now 12-7 and 8-6 in the league.
Saint Louis was never able to rebound after falling behind 10-0 at the start. The Flyers led by 20 at halftime and grew their lead to as many as 28 late in the game.
Terrence Hargrove Jr. led the Billikens in scoring with eight points while also providing valuable minutes on the defensive end as well. Jordan Goodwin and Javonte Perkins scored seven points apiece, with Goodwin grabbing a team-high eight rebounds.
Hasahn French finished with six points, six rebounds and three assists. Fred Thatch Jr. had six boards, all on the offensive glass. Yuri Collins, who missed the last two games with an ankle injury, dished out four assists.
The Billikens shot just 27.1 percent (19-70) from the field, while Dayton pumped in 50 percent (25-50). The Flyers’ Jalen Crutcher had 19 points and six assists on Senior Night.
Saint Louis looks to get back on track on Tuesday when it travels to Richmond, Virginia, to face the VCU Rams. Game time on CBS Sports Network is set for 5 p.m. (CT).
