All three previous films (The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Matrix Revolutions) were written and directed by the Wachowskis and starred Reeves and Moss.
Variety is reporting that Lana Wachowski has a script and will direct a fourth installment to ‘The Matrix,’ with Keanu Reeves (Neo) and Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity) reprising their roles. Film is said to begin production in early 2020.
