Welcome back to another edition of New Artist Spotlight. We are taking a look at the album “Ten Years Of Solitude” by Alya.
Alya Michelson was born on Russia and has had a long road into the entertainment industry. She currently resides in Los Angeles but in her own words, “As an immigrant and a woman I have something to say and and a unique perspective to bring to the table.” I believe she does just that.

The stand out tracks are for sure “Heart Shaped Hole” and for me I truly enjoyed “Puppet Strings”. Alya’s style is often categorized as indie/pop but there seems to be an edge to it that makes it differ t than most indie/pop that I’ve encountered. There is a rawness to this record that is particularly pleasant.
