The KSHE favorite, Sammy Hagar, and his band the Circle might have had even more fun than some of their fans at the Hollywood Amphitheatre Sunday night, and thank goodness it was a rescheduled appearance as the night before the weather was nowhere near as lovely. Loads of fun was being had on stage and out in the crowd. St. Louis loves their Sammy and he shows a lot of appreciation for that.

Vince Neil headlined for Hagar with hits from Motley Crue such as “Dr. Feelgood” and “Shout at the Devil”. Neil was really pulling for some crowd interaction with the song “Home Sweet Home” but most of the crowd was just excited to rock along with Hagar.

Hagar gave praise to St. Louis and especially the Blues who had just finished up a huge win. He had a few pieces of Blues attire to swap through during the show including a jersey numbered 55 with “Hagar” on the back. “Let’s Go Blues”! Could be heard for miles. It was a big day for the St. Louis Blues as they shutout the San Jose Sharks in game 5 in the Western Conference finals.

Hagar and the Circle played songs from their new album Space Between including “Trust Fund Baby” as they opened the set and then sprinkled in “Devil Came to Philly” and “Cant Hang”. You could tell fans weren’t there to here the new music and every time a more well known song came to play the entire energy level of the crowd increased. “I Cant Drive 55” and “Mas Tequila” had the entire amphitheater engaged, the crowd was feeding off of Hagar’s young at heart good vibes.

Hagar has been rockin’ for quite some time now but that hasn’t seemed to slow down the 71 year old. Starting with the band Montrose in the 70’s, Van Halen and then moving on to his own successful solo career. The singer tossed around a tequila bottle a few times, and mentions partying and how as they arrived Friday night in St. Louis they might have been a little lit up already. Sounded like they had a fun weekend in St. Louis and Sunday night was nothing short of fun everyone.
