After being sent multiple videos of 3-year-old super fan, Joe, dancing and singing along to his songs on Twitter, self-proclaimed and widely-renowned King of Partying, Andrew W.K., went above and beyond to give the little guy a day to remember when he invited him backstage before the show to have an unforgettable pizza party prior to his St. Louis date of the You’re Not Alone Tour at Delmar Hall.

This is Joe. He’s 3 years old and taught me more about partying in 13 minutes than I could teach him 13 lifetimes. (Thanks to @alyssabardoI for helping arrange this St. Louis party session)

Joe, dressed as AWK complete with his signature head-to-toe white, lines tattoos, and black watch, was ecstatic to spend time with his hero, even being taken out onstage prior to doors opening to look at all of the gear and see his legendary ESP Custom Guitars, including Joe’s favorite, the Pizza Guitar.

today….. we partied, and we partied HARD. not only did Joe meet his idol, but pizza partied with him too. a huge thanks to @AndrewWK and his team for making a 3 year old’s dream come true. you guys are the bees knees.

Being around Andrew backstage as he spent time with Joe highlighted how much of a class act Andrew truly is, as he handles himself in a way that shows gratitude, respectfulness, and a true undying love of what he does, eager to inspire and feed off of the enthusiasm of the next generation of partiers. Both Andrew and his team went out of his way to meet Joe, giving him memories of meeting his hero that will last a lifetime.

The show was not only unforgettable to Joe, as it was his very first concert, but to the crowd, which was near capacity, at Delmar Hall. When AWK took the stage, the room ignited into high-energy party mode.

The rest of the band contains a mixture of old band members and newer, but Andrew’s intense energy obviously was infectious to them as well – they all look as though they are thoroughly enjoying themselves. And the crowd fed off that energy, as fans crowd-surfed, moshed, and pounded on the barricades along to the music. As always, AWK left it all on the stage, rounding the night off with party anthem, Party Hard.
