That’s right, it’s finally music festival season, and some of the world’s hottest music festivals are happening right in our backyards.

Lollapalooza 2018, the annual music festival that takes place in our neighboring state of Illinois, kicks off on August 2nd in Chicago’s Grant Park. The 4-day festival features over 170 of the hottest acts in music, featuring The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, and Travis Scott, and highlights the best-of-the-best of modern music.

Needless to say, it’s time to plan that weekend trip to Chicago you’ve been dying to take. Rich in culture, world-class music, and even better food, Lollapalooza is this summer’s hot event ticket.

When is Lollapalooza 2018?

Lollapalooza will occur on August 2-5, 2018.

Where is Lollapalooza?

Lollapalooza takes place in Grant Park in downtown Chicago, near attractions such as Millennium Park and the Art Institute. There are two entrances that attendees can use: The main gate is at Congress Parkway and Michigan Avenue, while the secondary entrance is at Columbus Drive and Jackson Drive.

How do I get to Lollapalooza?

With 100,000 people cramming into Grant Park each day during Lollapalooza weekend, parking is at a premium. That’s why we recommend taking public transportation to (and from) the event. If you’re taking a CTA train, you can take the Brown, Pink, Orange or Purple Lines to Harold Washington Library or ride the Blue and Red Line to Jackson. By bus, the 1, 3, 4, 7, 26, 28, 126, 132 and 147 are your best bets. You can also take the Metra Electric line to Millennium Station, just North of Grant Park.

How do I get tickets to Lollapalooza?

Go to the festival’s official website to buy tickets for single days and the whole weekend.
