Four Saint Louis volleyball student-athletes collected Atlantic 10 Conference postseason honors, the league office announced Thursday.

Sophomore outside hitter Sien Gallop earned first-team All-Conference accolades, while freshman outside hitter Maya Taylor was named A-10 Rookie of the Year. Senior middle blocker Lauren Leverenz garnered a second-team All-Conference nod, and freshman setter Kennedy Cordia joined Taylor on the All-Rookie team.

Gallop’s selection gives the Billikens a first-team honoree for a third consecutive season. Taylor becomes the fifth Saint Louis volleyball player to receive Rookie of the Year plaudits.

In her first season at SLU after transferring from Pacific, Gallop leads the nation and is on pace to set a Billiken single-season record with 0.69 service aces per set. Her 66 total aces rank 10th on SLU’s all-time single-season list. Gallop is third in points (team-high 3.8/set) and 11th in kills (2.95/set) in the A-10 and averages 2.35 digs per set.

In conference matches, Gallop led the A-10 in kills (3.76/set) and points (4.6/set) while ranking 15th in digs (2.57/set). She was named the Nov. 6 A-10 Player of the Week.

Taylor is second in kills (team-high 3.48/set) and fifth in points (3.7/set) on the conference charts. She produced a .242 hitting percentage and averaged 1.13 digs per set during the regular season.

Against league opponents, Taylor ranked second in the A-10 in kills (3.73/set) and fourth in points (4.0/set). She claimed A-10 Rookie of the Week honors three times.

Leverenz leads Saint Louis and ranks fifth in the A-10 with a .343 hitting percentage, a mark that is tied for fifth on the program’s all-time single-season list. She is sixth in service aces (0.34/set), ninth in points (3.5/set), and 14th in kills (2.73/set) and blocks (0.74/set) in the conference.

In A-10 matches, Leverenz was fourth in hitting percentage (.361), sixth in points (3.8/set), eighth in kills (3.00/set) and 11th in blocks (0.88/set). She was named the Oct. 9 A-10 Player of the Week.

Cordia leads the Billikens in assists in all matches (7.05/set) and conference matches (8.34/set). She averages 2.16 digs per set and also has contributed 19 kills and 15 service aces.

Saint Louis begins play in the A-10 Championship Friday, Nov. 17, against George Washington. The quarterfinal match at Duquesne’s A.J. Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. (CT).
