Saint Louis redshirt junior Max Karcher has been named to the men’s soccer Academic All-District 6 team, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Karcher will appear on the ballot for Academic All-America voting in November.

To be eligible for All-District honors, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or reserve with legitimate athletic credentials.

Karcher, a Sports Business major at SLU, has played a team-leading 1,397 minutes and is second on team in scoring with eight points (3G, 2A). He scored the Billikens’ game-winning goal in a 2-1 SLU victory at La Salle. Karcher has played in 48 games in his career and has 13 career points (5G, 3A).

As a redshirt freshman in 2014, Karcher was named to the Atlantic 10 Conference’ All-Rookie team. He was named to the A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (minimum GPA of 3.5 in a semester) multiple times and was an invitee to the department’s Straight A Luncheon.
