For the second week in a row, a Billiken has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference men’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week as sophomore forward Grant Owens was honored, the league announced today.
Owens scored the equalizing goal in a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Tulsa Sunday night at Hermann Stadium. He scored off a pass from Anthony Brown, who picked up A-10 Offensive Player of the Week honors last week after scoring the Billikens’ game-winning goal at No. 5 Wake Forest.
Owens and Brown are tied for the team lead in scoring with three points (1G, 1A).
The Billikens (1-1-1) host Marquette (3-1) at Hermann Stadium on Saturday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
