A couple weeks after Austin McBroom and Tanner Lancona decided to transfer from Saint Louis University. Jermaine Bishop, a guard out of Holy Cross, has announced his commitment to SLU tonight via his Twitter account

The 6’1, 170 lbs guard comes out of Holy Cross High School in New York. Scouts said were impressed with shooting and passing, but still need to build up his strength. This past season Bishop played in all 16 games averaging about 10 points a game with shooting percentage of 33% and averaging 2 assists per game. He also picked up 13 steals and hit 71.4% of his free throws.

Bishop provides depth to a backcourt that includes soon-to-be sophomores Miles Reynolds, Marcus Bartley, and Davell Roby. This is a good start, but the Billikens still need to get players with size that can play a true 3-player role. Bishop is nice addition and a good start, but fans are hopeful that SLU can add more players that have starter potential and talent.
